Job Summary/Company: Our client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing trauma in under-resourced communities through an evidence-based mindfulness technique, is looking for a Director, Partnerships and Operations to provide strategical, operational, and logistical support to the organization's Washington, DC practice. Qualified candidates will bring exemplary communicative and analytical skills that will enable them to build partnerships across the DC region.

Full vaccination against COVID-19 is REQURIED for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the DuPont and Capitol Hill offices and other organizational activities in Washington, DC
  • Prepare memos, presentations, and briefing materials for meetings attended by leadership
  • Liaise with any partners or experts retained to assist in achieving long term goals
  • Act as a relationship manager, along with President and CEO, with DC-based donors and partners
  • Track and monitor pertinent legislation relevant to organizational interests
  • Working with the Events and Development team in New York, develop event processes and protocols to provide consistency and uphold organizational standards
  • Working with the Events and Development team in New York, help to source local venues, suppliers and other vendors and be the "on the ground" lead for all events
  • Ensure both offices are maintained with the highest degree of professionalism
  • Create and maintain a strong relationship with the property owners of both offices, ensuring a good rapport and assuring that their properties are being well and professionally maintained
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience in Washington DC, with knowledge of the culture and workings of Washington DC; as well as experience working for a non-profit or organization in a similar capacity, or in a Government-related role in Washington, DC
  • Top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including knowledge of the Congress.gov, the Federal Register, Politico, the Hill, Congressional Quarterly and other written print and online materials related to the federal legislation and regulation.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful events in varying size and scale is desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills, with the confidence and ability to effectively communicate with donors, The Hill and Agency staff
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A passion for helping others to overcome toxic stress and trauma in core areas of study (veterans, education, addiction and recovery, healthcare) is a strong plus.
