The AHC CNA Training Program Coordinator is an RN who oversees and coordinates the AHC CNA training program. The program coordinator is responsible for the establishment and provision of a training program that meets the criteria established by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Criteria requirements include curriculum content, delivery methods, dedicated hours, and outcomes. The program coordinator will collaborate with AHC departments in the marketing, recruitment, onboarding and orientation, and professional development of CNA student candidates.
Successful completion and graduation from an accredited nursing program in the state of Maryland or from an out-of-state program approved by the Maryland State Board of Nursing

Required Competencies

Strong knowledge of nursing process and role of the CNA in acute care setting
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional methods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. (written, verbal and body language)
Ability to listen, observe and provide feedback
Ability to function as part of a team and to support team members in care delivery
Demonstrates empathy
Professional demeanor

Qualifications

BSN required
MSN preferred
BLS through AHA
Five years in acute care setting
Experience in program coordination, education, preceptor or leadership preferred
Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland
