Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Education Specialist for our CNA Training Program who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Education Specialist demonstrates professionalism and is an integral part of the nursing leadership team, representing their department at all levels of the organization.

As a Education Specialist, you will:
• Facilitates the professional development and lifelong learning activities of
certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to enhance their professional
competence and role performance .
• Manages overall professional development programs, providing relevant
education to CNAs, maintaining and enhancing clinical competence, fostering
a positive outlook on lifelong learning, directing the development of
educational activities and planning programs that increase breadth and depth
of the CNA's knowledge.
• Provides the MBON approved curriculum for CNA certification, both didactic
and clinical application on patient care units. Uses simulation, lecture, and
clinical assignments on patient care units as instructional formats.

• Provides ongoing education, training and competency assessment to CNA
workforce at Shady Grove Medical Center. Incorporates Adventist HealthCare
mission, values, strategic pillars and patient experience behaviors in all

Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
