Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a S ystems Administration, Team Lead to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations who has in-depth experience managing SaaS and PaaS resources to support application development and deployment to Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of DevOps administrators in automating software build and release processes following full DevOps principles end-to-end or continuous integration/deployment
  • Collaborating with customers on software development life cycle, including comprehensive requirements gathering, high level and detailed systems design, agile development practices, QA testing outcomes and dependencies, and production monitoring and maintenance operations
  • Supporting platform O&M, application solutions, and deployment projects on Azure and Microsoft 365 including but not limited to, containerized workloads, Azure resources, SharePoint Framework solutions, App Service deployments, Serverless functions, Power Platform solutions and legacy IaaS servers
  • Production system design and documentation, deployment plans, data and process flows, UML modeling, DevSecOps processes, and security evidence and artifacts
  • Administering Azure Active Directory, users and groups, security principles, and related identity management techniques
  • Administering Microsoft 365 tenants including, Azure AD, Exchange, Power Apps, Power BI, Security, SharePoint, Stream, and Teams admin centers
  • Others team leadership and operational or admirative duties as required

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years professional experience developing software applications
  • Hands-on experience automating software build and release processes following full DevOps principles end-to-end or continuous integration/deployment
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including comprehensive requirements gathering, high level and detailed systems design, agile development practices, QA testing outcomes and dependencies, and production monitoring and maintenance operations
  • Support and deployment of Azure and Microsoft 365 application solutions including, but not limited to, containerized workloads, Azure resources, SharePoint Framework solutions, App Service deployments, Serverless functions, Power Platform solutions and legacy IaaS servers
  • In-depth knowledge of configuring and monitoring Azure Kubernetes Service; pod, node, container, and cluster management; Docker Compose or Helm chart deployment manifests; NGINX ingress controller configuration and management
  • Excellent system design documentation skills to clearly define and elucidate application resources, deployment plans, data and process flows, UML modeling, DevSecOps processes, and security evidence and artifacts
  • Rapid researching, prototyping, and creating proofs of concepts for new and emerging cloud technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps repos, branching, build and release pipelines, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Team Server, and Visual Studio (Code) integration
  • Significant experience developing comprehensive, fully automatic CI/CD pipelines deploying workloads to multiple environments
  • Experience administering Azure resources via the admin portal, Azure CLI, Windows PowerShell, ARM templates, and related technologies
  • Solid understanding and direct experience administering Azure Active Directory, users and groups, security principles, and related identity management techniques
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 tenants including, Azure AD, Exchange, Power Apps, Power BI, Security, SharePoint, Stream, and Teams admin centers
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications especially SharePoint site administration, Power BI portal and embedded solutions, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate
  • Expert oral and written communication skills to facilitate critical discussions between business customers, project stakeholders, and contracting team
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and support all members in a team environment, work independently to understand problems and deliver practical results, and earn the trust and loyalty of client stakeholders
  • Per federal guidelines, ability to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain by January 18, 2022
