CHHS Clinical Operations Coordinator The George Mason University's College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) seeks an energetic experienced Clinical Operations Coordinator to manage multiple clinics. The College is home to more than 1,900 undergraduate and 1,300 graduate students and approximately 120 faculty and staff. With the recent launch of its PhD in public health degree offered with 2 concentrations, the College has accomplished several key milestones necessary to becoming the first college of public health in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As part of these efforts, CHHS remains committed to transdisciplinary research and inter-professional practice leveraging the notable health disciplines comprising the College. About the Mason And Partners (MAP) Clinic:George Mason University's Mason and Partners (MAP) interprofessional clinics serve the uninsured and refugee community within Prince William and Fairfax counties in Northern Virginia. These bridge-care model free clinics, located in Manassas, Springfield, and Culmore, provide health care, school physicals, screenings, and mental health services for vulnerable populations located in low-income and medically underserved areas (MUA). The ambulatory clinics provide to the community referrals, resources, and case management for medical home placement; wellness and integrated care workshops; and group care for chronic disease management and education.About the Position:This position is needed to manage the multiple Mason and Partners clinics. The position will allow for coordination of on-site clinical activities and community outreach for multiple clinic sites in the Northern Virginia area. The primary responsibility will include communicating and engaging with our community partners and advocates. Key duties of this position include working with the health care team in coordinating staffing, student scheduling, resource management and patient referrals for appropriate care. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with initiative and a results orientation.Responsibilities:Supervise day-to-day operations of the clinic;Serve as a liaison with other participating community partners;Ensure effective communication and professional relationships are developed and maintained;Link patients into needed continued care and follow up, such as specialist physicians and nurses, mental health services, rehabilitation assistance, social services, hospitals, home health agencies, and community-based services;Create and maintain relational database to support clinic activities;Coordinate and handle personnel issues;Maintain clinical and research records, including all essential documents, risk management plan, and clinical MOU's/contracts in accordance with federal regulations and institutional policies;Coordinate faculty and student involvement in the treatment team;Assist in planning clinic meetings;Supervise clinic staff; andCoordinate with the Environmental Health and Safety Office to make sure everyone is in compliance and has completed the annual risk management trainings.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or health related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience;Working knowledge of community-based healthcare;Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels in a fast-paced environment using sound judgment;Strong writing skills, analytical and organizational skills; andSolid PC-related skills in MS Office and related database management.Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with prior supervisory experience;Spanish speaking ability a plus; andPreference will be given to candidates with experience managing diverse and underrepresented populations.
