George Mason University's Human Resources & Payroll department - Talent Acquisition team seeks a Talent Acquisition Assistant, who will provide administrative, HR, and recruitment life cycle support to the Talent Acquisition team.

Required Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, equipment, and clerical techniques;
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service;
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Skill in the use of computers and software applications;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Mason employees, applicants, and employment agencies;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, edit communications for grammar, spelling, punctuation and tone;
  • Ability to effectively complete work and multi-task with frequent interruptions; and
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, or appropriate combination of relevant education and/or work experience or training; and
  • Some relevant Human Resources experience with an emphasis on recruitment and employment highly preferred.
