Job Announcement

Under the direction and supervision of the EMS Regulatory Officer, prepares EMS supplies/equipment for shipment to fire stations. Delivers EMS supplies/equipment to fire stations. Delivers EMS supplies/equipment to the logistics distribution center. Receives, stores and distributes a specific class of supplies and materials. Unpacks and properly stores stock received. Participates in the daily duties of checking reports for equipment repairs, equipment delivery and meeting with/escorting vendors to perform EMS equipment repairs. Inspects the condition of shipments to ensure conformance to specifications and quantities ordered. Reports damage, shortage or overage of shipments to supervisor for corrective action. Assists in maintaining cache of EMS equipment/supplies at the logistics distribution center and satellite locations throughout the fire and rescue department. Performs daily inspection of vehicle assigned to EMS logistics and corrects or reports any mechanical deficiencies to supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to high school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education;
Plus one years of warehouse experience using material handling and equipment performing inventory tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of EMS equipment and supplies. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic computer skills. Ability to operate a forklift.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Forklift Safety Training Certificate (Required)

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. New employees who obtain an exemption from the vaccine mandate for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs will still be subject to the weekly testing requirement. Vaccinated employees and employees with a medical or religious exemption will complete the attestation online on their first day of employment or shortly thereafter.

The appointee to this position must submit to a criminal background check, sanctions screening, driving record check and public safety background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform all required tasks including lifting 50lbs, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
