Senior Manager, Cyber Risk Reporting

As a Senior Manager and lead for the Cyber Risk Reporting team, you will be immersed in cyber and technology risks, which will allow our cyber organization and partners to pinpoint how cyber risks are connected to other corporate risks and business outcomes and consequences, ensuring business decisions are informed by cyber. You will develop and coordinate reporting to the Board of Directors, executive leadership, management, and practitioners to aid in articulating and driving understanding of the enterprise cyber risk profile. This will give you a bird's eye view into the key programs and domains across Cyber and Technology organizations that manage and report key cyber and technology risks.

  • Ability to work between technical and non-technical associates to create mutual understanding of concepts
  • Ability to distill timelines and outcomes, and guide conversations with associates and leadership to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think and operate independently with limited guidance
  • Ability to take ownership of and drive business results and desired outcomes


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as one of the Cyber organization's primary point of contacts for enterprise-wide governance committees and forums; as well as participate in, or help prepare executives for participation in such engagements
  • Compile, organize, and analyze cyber metrics and draft reports that identify trends and provide key insights based on the data
  • Develop and oversee reports for the Board and other internal or external entities on behalf of the Cyber organization
  • Manage multiple efforts simultaneously and ensure consistency across reporting products and executive forums
  • Understand the cyber strategy and initiatives and articulate the progress against the strategic goals and objectives
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across Capital One from the first, second, and third line organizations


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 7 years of experience managing, consulting, or auditing in the fields of information security or risk management
  • At least 5 years of experience developing and managing internal governance processes and procedures
  • At least 5 years of stakeholder management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience collecting, analyzing, reporting key insights, and results based analysis for executive-level reports or dashboards
  • At least 3 years of experience with people leadership


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience drafting cybersecurity reports or analytic assessments for senior executives
  • 2+ years of experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Spark SQL, or Alteryx)
