The Process Improvement Specialist plays a key role in the hospital's Performance Improvement Plan by providing leadership, expertise and support in process improvement. Working under the direction of Senior Management and the Director of Performance Improvement, the specialist directs and supports the work of multi-functional teams to improve organizational performance and promote efficient use of resources.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required (Graduate degree preferred) or master's degree in Nursing licensed clinical professional, healthcare administration, information systems, business, bio-statistics or a related field.
  • 4-5 Year related work experience required. Prior Health Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Process improvement and Project Management experience required. Six Sigma, Lean or like training and experience required certification preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of statistics; ability to analyze and interpret data using statistical tools. Prior experience with Minitab, SPSS or like software preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal skills, including the ability to provide educational programs to professional and management staff and physicians.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; prior experience with team facilitation required.
  • Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
  • Experienced team leader with proven problem-solving experience and process focus
  • Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of cutting-edgechange management.
  • Outstanding communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability in computer usage and software applications with a solid knowledge in the use of Excel required additionally experience with Tableau preferred.
  • Ability to develop and design reports using software such as Business Objects, Crystal Report, Epic Data Analytics, Crimson Data Hub Analytics or similar tools.
  • Experience with Access database development, Visual Studioor similar software preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present data and ideas in an organized, understandable format.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the Director of Performance Improvement. Works under the supervision of various Senior Vice Presidents on assigned projects.
