Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a highly motivated web application programmer/developer who will be responsible for the development and implementation of web applications to support a variety of projects across our research domains.  You will join a technical community of professional developers and engineers providing intuitive, responsive systems to collect high quality data using various cutting edge technologies, modern software development tools and frameworks. 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Programming user interfaces to support functionality of websites, web survey applications and backend management and reporting systems.
•    Developing SQL queries and stored procedures, API's to manage data and support data extraction, data analysis, and reporting.
•    Providing technical support and maintenance to production web sites and web applications.
•    Working with both subject matter experts and IT staff to define and document system requirements 

Basic qualifications:
•    A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field is required. 
•    5-7 years of experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Possess a strong working knowledge of web design and programming using application development tools and languages such as Visual Studio, C#, .NET core /framework, ASP.net, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and related technologies.
•    Experience with database design, data modeling, queries and stored procedures. 

Candidates will be able to work independently and in a team environment to interface with other developers. Candidates should possess strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, be highly motivated, detail oriented, an analytic thinker, a problem solver and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
