Covid Compliance Assistant

The George Mason University, College of Visual and Performing Arts seek qualified applicants for a Covid Compliance Assistant. The Covid Compliance Assistant ensures that all Center for the Arts "CFA" and Hylton Performing Arts Center "HPAC" patrons comply with the venue's Covid-19 Vaccination policy and enforce venue Covid-19 safety measures.

This position is part-time, from October 2021 - December 2021. CFA and HPAC will determine in December 2021 if this position is needed for the Spring 2022 season.

Schedule:

Night and weekend availability are a requirement, as this position works during CFA/HPAC performances and events. The Covid Compliance Assistant will be required to work a minimum of 8 shifts/month. CFA and HPAC may increase the minimum monthly shift if staffing levels are insufficient.

The Covid Compliance Assistant must be available to work starting the week of October 11th.

Responsibilities:


  • Checking patron's proof of vaccinations against Covid-19, or proof of a negative Covid PCR/Antigen test;
  • Informing patrons of venue Covid-19 safety precautions and policies;
  • Minimal set-up of directional and informative signage (related to vaccine checks).


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • Ability to assist patrons navigating websites and electronic equipment such as smart phones;
  • The Covid Compliance Assistant must provide and upload proof of own vaccination against Covid-19, in compliance with George Mason University's vaccine mandate policy.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for up to 3 hours at a time. The employee may be required to perform tasks in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment may be high due to patrons entering the lobby for a performance.
