COVID Testing and Vaccine Clinic LPN/RN


This position is temporary; funded through January 1, 2022


The George Mason University's, Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management (SEERM) office invites applications for a COVID Testing and Vaccine Clinic LPN/RN. Responsibilities:


The COVID Testing and Vaccine Clinic LPN/RN is a key member of the COVID Response Team and works directly with the Vaccination Clinic and the Testing Site team. While working the vaccination clinic, this position aids in preparation and set up of clinic, aids in daily clinic activities including administration of vaccinations, and serves in various other clinic capacities. When working at the testing sites, this position aids in the preparation and set up of all sampling/testing, collecting patient samples for COVID19 testing, and ensuring specimen samples and collection activities are documented properly.

Required Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal;
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology;
  • Ability to build rapport with patients;
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor;
  • Demonstrated clinical background with competence to administer vaccines and collect samples for COVID testing;
  • Prior electronic health records experience (1 year).


Preferred Qualifications:


  • LPN or RN license for the state of Virginia;
  • Prior experience in specimen collection, vaccine administration and lab draws preferable;
  • Demonstrated experience in a physician's office, acute-care setting, or COVID test site (1 year).


Schedule:


The scheduling for this position will be between the hours of Monday- Friday 7:00am-7:30pm on the Fairfax campus, but hours may vary and may also include other shifts and other sites to include Arlington and Manassas campuses.
