The primary function of the Collections Administrator role is to assist the Collections Management team and department with administrative tasks is it relates to the departments daily processes. Functions include but are not limited to delinquency reporting/tracking, communication with indirect auto participants as well as assisting members with skip payment requests and/or hardships. Individual will also be responsible for training staff on the Collections process as directly by the Collections Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Handles all communication channels with members on initial delinquency messages as well as responding to messages received
  • Handles all incoming correspondence to the Collections Department email and fax queues and distributes and/or researches accordingly
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies and communicate with members as to the resolve
  • Identify, recommend and process unsecured loans, credit cards, negative balances and auto loans for charge off
  • Act as a liaison for all indirect auto loan participants to include reporting and account related requests
  • Process skip a payment requests and manage re-age request process
  • Handle all indirect auto loan first payment default research requests from the Indirect Lending Department
  • Supports team leaders with call quality reviews and training a requested
  • Manage small balance account write offs
  • Monitors paid ahead accounts and adjusts maturity accounts as needed
  • Handle requests to reactivate negative balance accounts
  • Manage all payment exception items to include due date changes, hardship requests and total loss/CPI modifications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of collections experience
  • Working knowledge of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection practices Act)
  • Collections experience at a financial institution
  • Advanced knowledge of general Collections procedures and Temenos and FISERV DNA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases
