Manager- Credit Review Operations

The Credit Review organization at Capital One monitors credit quality and assures credit business practices adhere to Credit Policy, Standards and Procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

As a Manager within Credit Review Operations you will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight and support of reporting - including but not limited to executive reporting, Issue tracking and reporting, internal team and management reporting - providing workflow and reporting process enhancements, and ad-hoc project management. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives on the details and data analytics in support of decision making, and also a builder with a lens toward pursuing opportunities for value added change. The ability to partner with internal clients to deliver top quality reporting and insights is central to the success of the role. The Manager will lean fully into the digital transformation of the department as a thought leader and by working closely with product developers, and driving opportunities for increased leverage of technology in alignment with the Capital One strategic priorities.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Internal and Executive level reporting
  • Issue Management tracking and reporting
  • Oversee the Assurance Report tracking and issuance process
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiencies
  • Ownership on internal policies and procedures


The ideal candidate should possess/be:
  • Proactive, result oriented, highly organized and a strong team player
  • Strong data analysis skills and pays close attention to detail
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to engage in, or manage, multiple processes successfully and seamlessly
  • Ability to identify, and clearly communicate, opportunities for process improvements
  • Ability to establish credibility, trust and support within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage up and influence team leadership to complete deliverables and accomplish goals
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently in an ever-changing environment, and can navigate the organization
  • High level of proficiency with the Google suite: Docs / Sheets / Slides or similar Microsoft products, and Tableau


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Project, Management, or Process Management, or Risk Management
  • At least 3 years of experience working with internal business customers
  • At least 2 years of internal reporting or external reporting experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial or consumer credit risk management
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services
  • Business Process Management (BPM) certification preferred
