Title: Membership DirectorReports To: AGM, GM, and CEO'sFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Summary The Membership Director role was born out of the necessity for real-time support and added oversight for our larger sales forces across all locations as we moved the Fitness Consultant position to the front of the house. All Fitness Consultants answer to the Membership Director and the Membership Director reports directly to the Assistant GM. The Membership Director works roughly 35 hours per week at the desk alongside other Fitness Consultants. The Membership Director will also work closely with management to track sales and performance metrics of their club and make sure everyone has all of the information and resources they need to be successful in their role. Job ResponsibilitiesCreate a sales culture at Balance Gym that is professional, ethical, competitive, and rewarding for employees.Manage all fitness consultants and ensure compliance with software requirements and with daily and monthly protocols.Manage member retention by following up with membership complaints over billing issues or software discrepancies.Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Balance Gym services, competitors, marketing plans, strategies, programs, and promotions.Identifies and defines customer and lead base to achieve assigned sales and membership goals and objectives.Will direct the lead generation process from a variety of sources including: following up on calls, open houses, membership drives, community outreach and related gym activities.Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate and manage high-performing and enthusiastic sales staff.RequirementsCollege degree preferred.Fitness enthusiast who understands the value and benefits as well as actively participates in fitness.Possesses strong internet, software and database management skills. Ability to learn MindBody software.Ability to generate leads and manage leads through a sales management information system. Has the ability to identify, plan, market and sell Balance Gym's services.Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal skills to interact with members, potential members and staff.Outgoing and results oriented with a commitment to team success.Self motivated and independent. Possesses outstanding customer service and attention to detail skills. Punctual and well organized.Sales and/or fitness certifications or equivalent preferred.
