Job Title Field Sales Engineer Job Description The Mid-Atlantic team is looking for a Field Sales Engineer to assist Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers with technical product support for pre and post sales opportunities. This candidate will reside within reasonable driving distance to the Alrington, VA AEC. What you will do here Provide pre-sales engineering and support Prepare technical sales support materials Develop system design recommendations Project management and maintenance initiatives Present training seminars on-site and through webinars Develop Requests for Proposals and Information Coordinate on-site proof of concept and trial installations Provide in-depth on-site troubleshooting and solutions Work cohesively with Regional Sales Managers and sales support Performs other related duties as assigned What you will need Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN's, etc.) Mature, professional verbal and listening skills Proven reputation of positive customer interaction Strong presentation skills Solid technical writing skills especially white paper, manuals and instructions Design documentation skills of schematics, flow charts, topologies and metrics Resourceful and flexible Demonstrated competency in the following areas: What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking Engineering or Information Systems 4+ years of experience as a pre and post sales SE ideally in networking and/or video related systems Physical demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
