LinQuest is looking for a Cyber Security Network Engineer to join our team to be remotely located employee, but within commutable distance from Tysons Corner, VA. The Cyber Security Network Engineer will focus on implementing a comprehensive security program across the network to assure that all technical and programmatic data are adequately protected and space, ground, and terrestrial systems are designed with adequate level of resiliency to minimize operational mission impact from cyber-attacks. Responsibilities: Design and oversee cybersecurity configurations for all systems to include, but not limited to, Implementation procedures, documentation, firewall security policies, IDS/IPS policies Ensures all technical cybersecurity compliance elements are met IAW reference security policies Responsible for developing procedures for tuning security appliances, log and event collection management to ultimately feed a SIEM Assist the LinQuest Cybersecurity PM and to design a secure IT system to support both commercial and USG mission data Assist in the design of a Zero-Trust network that will identify users and machines for a specific portion of the network. Design a cybersecurity training program Develop policy, procedures and documentation templates for the evaluation of all COTS cybersecurity network hardware and software to comply with CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO/IEC 27000, and USSF IA-PRE requirements Develop plans for current and future COMSATCOM cybersecurity certifications sustainment for to include, but not limited to, the US Space Force (USSF) COMSATCOM office (CSCO) information system security architectures and security controls within the Infrastructure Asset Pre-Assessment (IA-PRE) COMSATCOM network certification framework, DoD 8500 documents, and FIPS 140-3 testing/compliance Update and policy or procedure to sustain compliance with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD[A&S]) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Design a systems that will manage and update all new directives from the Director of National Intelligence (DNI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), National Space Intelligence Center (NISC), and cybersecurity working groups Required Skills: Complex DoD and DHS COMSATCOM and MILSATCOM cybersecurity expertise In-depth understanding of execution and implementation of DoDI 8510.01, RMF (Risk Management Framework), IA -PRE, CMMC, CNSSI No. 1253, and NISP SP 800-53 requirements and guidelines Demonstrated strong communication and writing skills Strong oral and written communications skills Experience with development of system and/or program Cybersecurity Strategy documents Proficient in Microsoft Office Required Experience: 10 years+ experience supporting cyber security and systems engineering on space/ground programs Experience with DoD Cybersecurity and/or Information Assurance Strategy development Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience IASAE Level III (CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP ,CCSP) needed within 6 months of hire US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required for the position Preferred Experience: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification at time of hire Experience supporting COMSATCOM security applications or other space program/organization cyber activities COVID-19 Compliance Guidelines: As a federal contractor, all LinQuest team members must comply with Executive Order 14042- Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, which includes mandatory vaccination and ability to provide proof of vaccination status prior to start of employment.
