Raytheon Technologies is seeking an experienced and cleared Telecommunications Specialist/Engineering Lab Manager in the Herndon, VA area. The right candidate will provide Expert level program management, administrative and engineering support for the customer network and communications-based projects. Required Skills Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of physical and virtual computers running on one or more operating systems. Maintain the integrity and security of Sponsor servers and systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts. Maintain system documentation Install, configure, and support the customer's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN). Maintain network hardware and software. Provide support to projects that involve networks. Evaluate new network technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network. Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software and all configurations. Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements. Perform long term O&M activities to include troubleshooting and problem resolution. Maintain logs and records associated with reported problems or situations Assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements Desired Skills Ability to work independently as well as ability to excel in a team environment Deep understanding of Sponsor enterprise and non-traditional systems, networks and components Understanding of Sponsor systems security, firewalls, routers, switches. Additional Requirements No travel is anticipated but may be required based on customer needs 11 years of direct relevant experience with customer systems, networks and components COVID-19 Vaccination Required Education Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of experience Eight (8) years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree for a total of sixteen (16) years of experience.
