Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking multiple Software Engineers for our Space Division. The location for this role is in Dulles, VA, Colorado Springs, CO, Gilbert, AZ, El Segundo, CA and has possible opportunities for full or part-time telecommuting.This position will support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to customer resources. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring. Software Engineers will be a critical member of one or more Agile Scrum Teams.After hours or extended work week may be required.Roles and Responsibilities: Full stack development at the OS, platform, and mission unique software layer. Developing client and server applications and services using service oriented architectures, message bus based data exchange that include first-of-a-kind capabilities. Applications will span languages and toolsets including C++, Python, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis execution and finding remediation. Developer will be expected to be a self-starter capable of making decisions with overall project budget and schedule in mind. This position may be offered at a Principal or Senior Principal Level depending on years of experience you bring.Basic Qualifications for Principal Level: Bachelors in Software Engineering or closely related discipline plus 5 years of development experience with C++, Python experience (3 years with a Masters Degree or 1 year with a PhD) Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Level: Bachelors in Software Engineering or closely related discipline plus 9 years of development experience with C++, Python experience (7 years with a Masters Degree or 5 year with a PhD) Experience leading development projects or teams including mentoring of junior developers Additional Basic Qualifications for Both Levels: Experience with design, build , and deployment of software products Demonstrated experience in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring Experience in producing software architecture documentation Experience with C++, Python required US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing satellite Command and Control and/or Mission Planning and/or Astrodynamics applications for spacecraft missions is highly preferred Java Linux Ansible Docker Freeflyer Front-end application development UX/UI is preferred Graphics and Animation Active Top Secret/SCI clearance Salary Range: 101200 - 151800 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
