As a Senior Systems/Network Engineer , you will: Join an already established team with opportunity to grow. (ESOP). A week in the life of a Senior Systems/Network Engineer: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) for CISCO based environments. Configure and install Microsoft and some Linux software, servers, routers, and other related devices. Monitor network performance and integrity. Build and implement automation scripts to manage and or update system configurations. Resolve tiers of support issues by troubleshooting network infrastructures. Lead and mentor team members on technical network issues. Create, oversee, and test network security measures (ie, access authentication and disaster recovery). Ability to communicate with customer and end user community on a regular basis and when needed. Maintain complete network documentation. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability. Support independently and or lead a team with the analysis, evaluation, and preparation of associated networks that will be deployed internal and external to our operation sites. Provide work improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance of internal and external networks. Experience with Internet Protocol (IP), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Switch/Router standup/configuration and general Internet Security capabilities. Industry-related experience as a senior level Systems / Network Engineer. Professional certifications preferred (ie, CCNP or CCDP). Solid background in network administration and architecture designs. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (ie, TCP/IP) and routing protocols (ie, BGP, OSPF). Design, install, test, and maintain communication and other network equipment and associated hardware and or software (eg, switches, modems, controllers, terminals, and multiplexers). Skilled in Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, VMWare, McAfee ePO/HBSS, and or Cisco IOS. Able to create and implement PowerShell, Ansible and or Microsoft scripting solutions. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. Solid understanding of network operating systems (ie, CISCO IOS). Experience with Internet Protocol (IP), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Switch/Router standup/configuration and general Internet Security capabilities.
