Dewberry has an immediately available job opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist in our Corporate headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Match invoices to checks
  • Identifying, assessing, and computing sales tax on appropriate invoices
  • Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist with other projects as needed


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • JDE Edwards experience a plus
  • Familiarity with the Chart of Accounts
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge,
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations
  • Excellent attention to detail, great communications skills
  • Consistently meet all deadlines
  • Team oriented, innovative, reliable
