Description:
  • To work as part of the leadership team to help facilitate the pre-procedure area of the ASD. To work with staff to help prepare patients who are coming into our facility for surgical procedures.
  • Full-time 7am - 7pm or 3pm - 11 pm shift schedule
  • Reporting to the Director of Surgery with over 20 years of institutional knowledge
  • An innovator in minimally invasive surgery, Holy Cross Hospital was first in Montgomery County to offer robotic surgery with the da Vinci surgical system in 2008 and in 2017


Responsibilities:
  • Directing and supervising professional and non-professional staff
  • Determining staff assignment and scheduling
  • Participating in the development of patient care standards and delivery of care processes.
  • Functioning as a professional role model and resource person.

What you will need

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree
    BSN required
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.

Preferred:
  • MSN preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in an acute care setting
