Duties

  • You will develop detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycle of the programs/projects.
  • You will participate in regular information planning sessions, maintains productive interaction with staff, reports on the status and progress of work accomplished to date, and monitors work in progress.
  • You will draft guidance and direction regarding program management and reporting.
  • You will provide oversight of efforts related to subsystems including: mathematics, statistical analysis, chemistry, corrosion, material science, dynamics, electrical and electronic systems, energetic materials including ordnance and propulsion.
  • You will oversee and approves contractor design and product/quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems.
  • You will direct, manage, and oversee efforts related to acceptability, utilization, and sustainment of hardware and support equipment.
  • You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 pay band or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical program advice and guidance in the analysis and planning of contractor engineering efforts for aerospace equipment. (i.e. mechanical, propulsion, ordnance, chemical, materials, electrical and electronic components)
