Duties

  • You will Serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counselor.
  • You will provide counseling and support services to applicants, employees, supervisors and managers to address individual or organizational disputes involving potential discrimination.
  • You will perform fact-finding and will conduct inquiries into sensitive and complex complaints of discrimination.
  • You will identify the need for training and development on EEO, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and civil rights issues.
  • You will develop and deliver appropriate training for employees, supervisors and managers in a wide area of topics to support EEO and ADR programs.
  • You will manage the informal and formal EEO complaint process from intake to case closure, identify pertinent regulations and case law, frames claims, drafts acceptance and procedural dismissal correspondence.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 pay band or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and processing informal and formal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints of discrimination, interpreting EEO-related laws, regulations, and policies, providing briefings and recommendations, and developing and delivering EEO training.
