Senior Digital Marketing Manager

We are seeking a talented, driven and creative digital marketing expert to develop and execute summit event engagement campaigns for the public sector. AWS Summits are a series of free events that bring the cloud computing community together to connect, collaborate, and learn about AWS. These events are designed to educate about AWS products and services and help people develop the skills needed to build, deploy, and operate their infrastructure and applications. Whether someone is new to the cloud or an experienced user, they can learn something new at AWS Summits. This role requires skills in these areas: strategic thinking, project management, relationship building, problem solving, digital marketing and analytics. The role's core responsibility will be to use a combination of strong planning and execution skills to successfully plan, develop, execute and measure summit engagement programs to drive business results. The ideal candidate should be extremely data-driven and comfortable with planning and executing on various stages of large campaigns. He/she should also have a proven track record of working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, and demonstrates the ability to learn new tools quickly. Lastly, this key team member must be a proactive self-starter, have a growth mindset, be detail-oriented, analytical and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job responsibilities: * Lead the digital strategy and online experience for tier 1 events such as summits across the globe (format could be live, virtual, or hybrid model) * Build & maintain strong relationships with teams across AWS, especially events, content and field marketing teams to identify opportunities and drive an engaging summit aligned to global standards with an element of localization * Develop and manage the digital timeline and phases Own planning, reporting, including status, priorities, action items, risks (and mitigations), and execution. Ensure each team has the information and assets needed to effectively deliver their key priorities. * Build the digital infrastructure of the summit experience - ranging from webpages, to email, to event apps and the driving the demand generation engine of leveraging own and paid media channels * Create comprehensive event project plans with SLAs, conduct regular checkpoints with deliverable owners, remove blockers to ensure successful execution of plans, escalate risks and formulate mitigation strategies accordingly * Build processes for repeatability and scalability of event activities, such as developing playbooks, tip sheets, updates and templates to create consistency across all summits * Develop and manage needs and reporting of key success metrics and performance (primarily registration, attendance, channel engagement), and translate that to apply insights and enhance mechanisms and processes to support a culture of continuous improvement * Deliver post-event reports with data-driven analysis including attendee feedback, goal attainment, channel performance and recommendations for future improvements * Travel required Basic Qualifications * Data-oriented, passionate in digital marketing and technology * Bachelor's degree in Business - Marketing, or relevant field of study * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent organizational and project skills to support time-sensitive requirements and tight deadlines * Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and aligning marketing programs to the relevant success metrics Preferred Qualifications * Demonstrated ability to think both big picture and dive deep into details, and most importantly, to turn data into insights and action * Proactive in problem solving, liaising and following up with team members across different teams and countries * Possess an expert understanding of how to drive business and marketing through digital channels, including: email, paid and organic social media, web, etc. * Possess analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn, derive meaning from data and iterate to optimize ROI and evolve strategy * Demonstrated success with owning digital programs, hands-on experience with building, and measuring effectiveness of campaigns * Experience in the following tools preferred: Marketo, Adobe AEM, Salesforce, Tableau * Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile and fast-paced environment.
