Overview * The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the management and support of all maintenance and new electronic security system installations at all FDA facilities nationwide. The PM is responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of projects as well as maintaining open and positive client relationships. The PM shall travel outside the National Capital Region (ONCR) to support ongoing installations as required. Limited OCONUS travel may be required. Responsibilities * Responsible for Project/Task management, and client relations * Schedules and assigns duties to subordinates and subcontractors and ensures assignments are completed as directed. * Define customer requirements and coordinate internal and external resources designed to develop and deliver solutions * Lead, plan, organize, staff, report, coordinate, control, identify/mitigate risks and direct all phases of the project from inception through completion/acceptance * Ensure compliance with all applicable contract requirements, security and safety mandates, and the law * Possess extensive experience leading and managing electronic security system installation projects such as CCTV, access control, alarms, biometrics, fiber optics, networking, etc., and serves as the senior technical representative resolving field installation issues * Teach, mentor, and coach peers and subordinates * Successfully interact with executives, professionals and technicians in industry and government through exceptional written and oral communications skills * Have superior organizational and prioritization skills * Able to meet strict deadlines while maintaining industry best practice installation protocols, consistency, attention to detail, work and workmanship, quality and efficiency * Generate reports/deliverables including monthly project status reports to the customers and management * Provide oversite and supervision for Sub-contractors and all assigned technicians on contract * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * 8 years' experience leading complex/integrated security system programs. * 4 or more years leading installation teams. * 4 or more years supporting federal clients. * 4 or more years as a security systems installer. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, programs. * Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules tasks and develops realistic action plans. * Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments. * Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas; Presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention * Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products. * Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions. The following are desired: * Bachelor's Degree is desired but not required. * C-CURE/Software-house certification preferred. * MDI Certification preferred.
