Accounts Payable Clerk
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S) & REQUIREMENTS: * Accounts payable invoice & data entry into the accounting system in an organized & timely manner with accuracy. * Ensure invoice images are scanned and stored into imaging system. * Code payables as necessary. * Resolve vendor inquiries & payment discrepancies. * Reconciling vendor statements. * Assist AP Specialist with week check disbursement run. * Sort & distribute mail accordingly. * Understands compliance issues as it relates to accounts payable. (W9's, 1099's, etc) * Meets deadlines as required by accounting office for month end and year end processing. * Possess excellent verbal and written communication. * Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ensures that Agency Policies and procedures are adhered to and that Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are followed. * Contributes to a work atmosphere in a manner which is positive, enthusiastic, respectful and courteous. * Ability to work independently but works cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, individuals served, community professionals, customers, vendors and the public. * Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties, including, but not limited to spreadsheets, accounting programs, databases, and word processing. * Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy. * Attends and participates in in-service training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development. * Follows instructions and abides by Agency policies and procedures. * Is a positive role model for individuals served and Agency staff. * Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Associates degree preferred, but not required. EXPERIENCE: Three years solid Accounts Payable experience. Must have a car and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency's insurance carrier and by Agency policy.
