BELL ATTENDANT Position Overview The purpose of this position is to facilitate and direct hotel lobby traffic and create a welcoming and safe environment for hotel guests and visitors. Escort guests to their assigned rooms, provide detailed orientation, including information of Hotel services and features according to the Hotel and Forbes Standards. Assist with the transportation of all luggage and any other room deliveries. Responsible for servicing guest needs throughout their stay. Important to possess a thorough knowledge of all Hotel services and amenities. * Ambassador of the hotel. The position must engage all guests and be a model of hospitality for all to follow. * Responsible for addressing guest service issues and working to satisfy all guests. * Greet all guests with appropriate greeting or welcome * Assist with luggage delivery to rooms or luggage storage * Responsible for smooth transition of guest escort * Be vigilant of activity on and around property; report any suspicious activity to hotel security * Supports Hotel Executives and Managers (ie: Director of Operations, Managing Director and Chef Concierge) by performing special assignments or tasks as needed QUALIFICATIONS and Physical/Mental Requirements Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal Ability to provide legible communication and directions Ability to compute basic arithmetic High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years luxury hotel experience. The candidate must possess excellent communication and strong leadership skills. The candidate must also be able to work flexible and varied shifts including weekends, overnights and holidays. The position requires excessive standing, frequent walking and repetitive motions. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Ability to lift 50lbs. First Aid & CPR certification desired.
