You will oversee a team that provides analytics support to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer of one of the DHS government agencies. You will lead the initiative to implement data visualization and other data mining techniques on diverse datasets to formulate strategies for system design, integration, automation, and other innovative tools. You will perform Agile methodologies to create user stories for business functionality, technical requirements, and defining acceptance criteria.Highlights of Responsibilities:Oversee day to day operational aspects of multiple projects simultaneouslyDeliver biweekly releases across various product lines with high-quality, no impact deploymentsPrepare project roadmap and project plan and drives the team to meet the milestones in the schedulePerform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationshipsManage agile teams and maximize their ability to deliver quickly and respond to emerging requirementsPrepare long and short-range plans for task activities and necessary support resourcesProvide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignmentsEstablish goals and strategies that meet project objectives and contractually obligated Deliver those requirements promptly.Manage project deliverables and ensure correctnessWork closely with the Government Business Owners, COR, and the IT PM and keep them updated on the progress of the tasksIdentify risks and develop mitigation plans to address issuesProvide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnelQualifications:Requirements:U.S CitizenshipBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering disciplineExperience with SQL and relational databases.Strong experience in Data Analytics.Understanding of Federal Financial Management; Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution Lifecycle; Human Resources and Payroll Management; Acquisition Planning; Real Property and Asset Management.Experience with Oracle licensed Solutions for Data Visualization and Financial Reporting.Experience with Agile/Scrum for IT deployments and the use of JIRA as a reporting tool.Experience with Storyboarding Requirements.Expert Understanding of Creating Budget Dashboards.Good communication skills to interact with team members, and customersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues7+ years of relevant experiencePMI-PMP Certification, PMI-ACP Certification or Scaled Agile SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, a plusCurrent DHS suitability is preferred.Physical Requirements:This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:Sitting for long periodsAbout NCI:It is the policy of NCI to provide equal opportunity in recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting individuals in all job categories without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected class or category as may be defined by federal, state, or local laws or regulations.
