Our 100% supply chain solution includes local and long haul trucking in and out of Cowan facilities.Job Summary:The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire process of collecting and posting of payments from all divisions of Cowan covering over $500,000 in revenue. He or she will work collaboratively with the Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager, the Collections Specialists, and Cash Applications Specialists to resolve day-to-day payment/invoicing issues and cleaning up accounts while following accounting principles. This person will act as an escalation point for receivables issues as well as customer issues that require resolution.The Accounts Receivable Manager will also assist in standardizing the collections and cash posting procedures as well as put together training materials with the help of others in the department. Our ideal candidate is familiar with all accounting procedures and can manage daily financial transactions end-to-end. Ultimately, the candidate should be able to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout our entire accounts receivable process.There will also be opportunities for the Accounts Receivable Manager to provide assistance in the Collections Specialists and/or Cash Applications Specialist roles as needed. This may be for back up, coverage, or for further understanding of specific accounts, procedures, and customer's needs.Essential Job Functions:Act as an escalation point for collections and cash applications issues.Assist in month end reconciliation of payments.Ensure high-quality collection and cash posting procedures that comply with company standards and practice.Facilitate weekly and/or monthly calls with customers, account managers, and/or internal managers as it relates to accounts with receivables issues.Provide professional development to employees through training, reviews and goal setting while maintaining team/employee morale.Support the Collections Specialists and Cash Applications Specialists by ensuring they follow the accounting principles.Collaborate with the upper management and executives on special projects and audits.Support the collections and cash posting teams by acting as back up during absence as needed.Construct standardized collections and cash posting materials as well as training documents for departmental use.Job Requirements:Proven work experience as a manager or supervisor.Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel.High level of interpersonal communication skills-oral and written.Effective at demonstrating good judgment and initiative to make sound business decisions based on multiple data sources.Ability to communicate, establish credibility, and influence change within all levels of the organization.Hands-on experience with accounting software.Bachelor's Degree required.As a full time employee with Cowan Systems LLC, you will be eligible for full benefit packages (Medical, Dental, Vision), Life, Short and Long Term Disability, 401(k) options, and paid time off.Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required
