The OpportunityPremion, the new "Over-the-Top"A' ("OTT"A' ) advertising and media business, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst. Major responsibilities include performing financial analyses to make business recommendations that increase sales, improve efficiency and increase profitability. The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly and weekly financial forecasts and supporting the annual budget process. This role is also responsible for understanding the data, systems, and reports needed to drive the business. Premion is a high growth division of TEGNA.LocationNew York City; ManhattanPhoenix, AZNorthern, VAResponsibilities:Support the annual budget process through modeling key business drivers for both revenue and expenses.Prepare the weekly and monthly financial forecast for Premion. Manage communication with all internal and external customers of the forecast.Provide partnerships and key investment projects reports and analysis for executive business decisions.Provide analysis of monthly results and summarize these results for senior executives.Provide support to the National Shared Service Center on month-end accounting processes. This includes submitting/reviewing accruals, business unit GL detail, capital expenses, variance analysis, account research, and journal entry support as needed.Collaborate with Tegna Corporate Finance, the National Shared Service Centers, and Audit teams to implement and manage best practices for finance and accounting.Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant to the business. Performs ad-hoc analysis as needed.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or an applicable analytical field of study.4 to 7 years of analytical experience in a finance or accounting role.Experience with monthly close, booking accruals, balance sheet review, P&L analysis.Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong modeling skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Ability to effectively solve problems and address opportunities.Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail, goal oriented and results focused, and the ability to process transactions while meeting tight deadlinesMaintain a professional presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with Tableau, WideOrbit, Power BI and Salesforce desired.About PREMION:Premion, a division of TEGNA, is the one-stop shop OTT advertising platform for regional and local advertisers.
