Overview:The Donohoe Companies, Inc. has been providing service to the Washington metropolitan area for over 100 years and has grown into one of Washington's largest and most successful commercial real estate and construction companies.Donohoe Construction Company, one of the most prominent General Contractors in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area is actively seeking a Project Engineer to join our New Construction team.This position will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates and participating in the bid process. This position will provide administrative and technical functions to multiple construction projects including submittals, RFIs, scheduling assistance, document organization, processing owner and subcontract AIA bills, subcontract coordination, cost engineering, and general project administration.Responsibilities:Responsible for set up of project filesResponsible for administration of project closeoutAssist with development of trade scope packagesWork closely with project manager on day to day project requirements such as RFI's, PCO's, submittals/procurement, and meeting minutesReview of submittals for compliance with Contract RequirementsTracking and maintenance of Subcontractor / Supplier Contract RequirementsDaily maintenance of Logs and Tracking for multiple projectsQualifications:A bachelor's degree, in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience) and some experience (ie internships) in construction management2-3 years of construction project management experienceSkillsExperience with requisitions, submittals, and project financialsBasic understanding of Project Management, Accounting, Scheduling and Invoicing SoftwareAbility to read blue prints and perform quantity take-offsBasic understanding of construction means and methods and proceduresGood verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skillsEOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
