Accomplishes results through delegation of responsibility to Individual Contributors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Responsible for achieving successful implementation of projects and managing all activities required to define, design, develop and deliver new Neurovascular products or therapies to Medtronic customers. Provides direction and leadership to a cross-functional program development team including members with expertise from all areas involved in product commercialization. Day in the life: * Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies. * Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. * Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes. * Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. * Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. * Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. * Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. * Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders. * Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems. Must Have: Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience * An Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience Nice to Have * 15 years of prior relevant experience with bachelor's degree or 13 years of prior relevant experience with master's degree * Medical device development experience * Demonstrated track record of leading multiple successful projects that met business and product objectives. * Cross-functional knowledge and/or experience. * Ability to build a strong cohesive cross-functional team through motivational and teambuilding skills. * Ability to lead within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills. * Good communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Mastery of project management skills; knowledge of process and project planning best practices. * Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals. * Demonstrates initiative; results oriented. * Effective decision making skills - ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments.
