About The Role: We are searching for an Accountant to join our Payroll team. In this role, you will support the Accounting Team with full cycle accounting duties that reside in the Payroll function. You will work with moderate oversight and occasionally be directed in aspects of work including prioritizing and working through complex issues. You will demonstrate flexibility, respond well to tight deadlines,effectively multi-task and take ownership of assignments. What You'll Get to Do: * Collect and maintain financial data ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with departmental procedures and policies * Create entries to record business transactions and ensures proper recording in general ledger accounts utilized in financial statements * Prepare internal reports as required and provides support to internal and external auditors * Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger * Compile financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports * Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations during the month-end close analytical procedures to support forecasting the future revenues and expenses (as applicable) You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field * 2+ years of experience resulting in strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as proficiency with accounting applications and software. * In depth knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. * High level of proficiency in MS Excel. * Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) would be a plus!
