What You ll DoAs a Senior Project Engineer, you ll be part of our team located in Towson, MD. You ll get to: Successfully deliver projects that achieve all quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives in a cross-functional environmentUtilize the Milestone process to develop and deliver technical design in support of new product developmentAssure all project documentation is accurate and properly maintainedRecommend sound product design decisions following a thorough analysis of complex dataPartner with cross-functional teams to identify and clearly define customer requirements, and translate those requirements into appropriate product specificationsEffectively drive advanced root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsDevelop and execute plans for project sample buildsLead a team responsible for the technical design responsibility for assigned projects utilizing 2D and 3D design capabilities to deliver technically sound solutionsAnalyze data to reach sound design/business decisions in complex technical situationsParticipate and provide feedback in hands-on concept development and prototypingParticipate and provide feedback in hands-on product testing and data collectionUnderstanding of manufacturing processes molding, casting, turning/milling, powdered metal, stampings, extrusions and formingSome travel required (Domestic & International)Who You Are You always strive to do a good job but wouldn t it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good? You also have: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is requiredAt least 5 years of Mechanical Design experience preferred with manufacturing exposureExcellent skills in using MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc. )Self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented and good team playerFirm understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and 2D drawing best practicesExcellent communication skills.
