When our customers and employees trust us, they are trusting our family standard.We are growing and looking to add a CDL Class A Equipment Operator to our team of experts. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating light, medium and heavy equipment, along with light to heavy duty trucks. The Equipment Operator is also responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties related to construction, land-clearing, tree removal, and stump grinding. Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is required.Some travel, approximately 1-3 hours away. Hotel/Per Diem Paid. Come home on weekends.Office is in Mechanicsville, VA (outside of Richmond) but some work is currently in the Leesburg/Loudoun County area. If you live in Loudoun County area, you can commute directly to central location near job site and take company vehicle from there. ResponsibilitiesOperating various kinds of equipment including but not limited to a stump grinder, whole-tree chipper, skid steer, claw truck, chainsaw, and snowplow.Operating horizonal grinder, front-end grinder, front-end loader, and crane for tree removals.Operating hand and power equipment including but not limited to hand saws, pole pruners, and chainsaws.Providing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.Ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are well maintained and accounted for prior to and after completion of each job.Maintaining a high level of quality in all work performed.Completing all duties in compliance with company safety policies, ANSI Z133.1, OSHA safety standards, and ANSI A300 Pruning standards.Reporting accidents/incidents to manager and HR.Completing OSHA and AM accident reportsServing on AM safety committee.QualificationsMust have valid Driver's License.Must have valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.2 years minimum experience running heavy equipment.Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local rules, regulations, guidelines and standards.Able to lead crew and act as a job site superintendent.1+ year experience with Class A truck driving.Ability to complete labor-intensive work outdoors with exposure to a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.Ability to navigate on uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Our core purpose is to love people and pursue excellence in the tree care and landscaping industry.
