Construction Project Manager, PMO Dept, Full Time, 80 hours Bi-WeeklyThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and management of the construction of additions, alterations, and renovations. Primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of Meritus Health structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversees its organization, estimating, scheduling, and implementation-close collaboration with the Director of Facilities. Together with the Director of Facilities, serves as the hospital's representative for all local, state, and federal agencies associated with construction. Coordinates project teams and workload, maintains budgets and documentation, and assures safety compliance. This position reports to the Director of the PMO.Education -Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Experience -5+ years of relevant experience on construction projects, performing field Construction Management oversight. Experience in the healthcare environment is preferred. Licensure/Certification -Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) or a program recognized by the Project Management Institute (local or national group) preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities -Functional knowledge of project management, facilities design process, construction process and methods, and equipment installation/inspection. General knowledge of design, engineering, and maintenance fields and governmental regulations and codes. Functional knowledge of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, word processing, database, spreadsheet, project management, and presentation packages. Ability to plan, research, analyze, coordinate, implement and present project requirements. Functional knowledge of Bluebeam. Ability to independently use Truebeam for projects. General knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of required code and standard compliance (NFPA, TJC, OSHA, CMS, etc.) in a healthcare environment. Ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color. Strong project management skills, including creating project plans, prioritizing work, and meeting deadlines. Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Understanding of team dynamics and the ability to foster a positive team environment. Excellent time management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in all situations. Ability to effectively exercise good judgment. Attention to detail.
