The Department of Defense has implemented theSkillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with the opportunities to gain civilian experience before they end their military career. TheSkillbridge Program will develop an understanding of how Peraton operates and supports our Government customer. This position will provide input to the RMF process for accreditation and validation of Navy systems, continuous monitoring activities on systems and report anomalies to IAM. Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and secured in accordance with policies and practices outlined in the security plan, ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS. Initiate with the approval of the IAM (Information Assurance Manager) and Security Officer, protective or corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability discovered. Follow procedures developed by the ISSM (Information System Security Manager)/(Program Security Officer) PSO, authorizing software, hardware, and firmware use before implementation on systems. Develop reports regarding system security state and provide briefings to IAM and team. Identify areas for process improvement and make suggestions to team accordingly. Basic Qualifications: Associates degree in Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Incident Response, Security Management, or discipline directly related to Cyber Security At least 5 years of experience with Information Systems Must have one of the following IAM Level II certifications: CAP, CASP, CISSP, CISM, and/or GSLC Knowledgeable of DoD 8510.01 Department of Defense Instruction Number 8510.01 Dated March 12. 2014.
