School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates to fill a long-term substitute teacher position in 4th grade for Religion, Science, and Social Studies. The long-term substitute teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school during the absence of the teacher. This position will begin in October. Job Responsibilities: Develop curriculum and instruct students in classes designed for students in grade 4. Participate in the active supervision of students at all times Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher while supplementing and planning as necessary Follow daily routine of teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop-off or pick-up as needed Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration Maintain high professional and personal standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's degree, knowledge of child development and supervision preferred. MSDE certification or eligibility preferred Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc. Teachers of religion must be an active practicing Roman Catholic.
