HVAC Concepts , a leading Building Automation and Systems Integrator, is looking for a Building Systems Quality Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance standards for installation and service projects. Provide quality control through reviews of design documents and equipment submittals with emphasis on constructability and maintainability. Support the continuous improvement efforts of the installation and service department by offering technical expertise and innovation in evaluation of current practices. This role will provide you with the chance to learn about the whole business and work with a variety of different functions. You will have the opportunity to investigate the root causes of failures and implement improvements to prevent recurrence of failures, while managing and taking responsibility for routine Quality activities without immediate supervision. Responsibilities include: Provide quality assurance to existing installation and service jobs by working with the engineering team and the project management team Assist programmers through knowledge of mechanical system operation Train customers on their BAS, both remotely and onsite Support the engineering team by maintaining customer relations through education Visit sites for verification of application, may be required from time-to-time Prepare QA manual and supervision of all amendments and revisions Control and the distribution of all the company's quality documentation Monitor all quality related activities on the project Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company's management Attend client quality management meetings Prepare project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required. Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site project manager Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives. Action and close all customer complaints Control all achieve documentation upon the completion of the project Qualifications: Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Previous experience in multiple Building Automation Systems Engineering and Programming Must be able to show a good knowledge of controls and its applications Must be able to show a good practical use of measuring equipment and measuring techniques Capable of making independent decisions, while being appreciative of department managers and existing protocols Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook Excellent organizational and strong verbal and written skills Excellent team working and adaptability Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements Attention to detail Ability to prioritize workload Flexible and trustworthy Benefits: Competitive Hourly Wage Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday Pay
