Responsibilities Peraton is looking for a Network & Computer Systems Administrator to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate shall install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, physical, and virtual servers. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities for the Network and Computer Systems Administrator include: Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline. CompTIA Security+ certification. Allowable Substitution: Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline plus two (2) years of additional work experience performing the duties similar to the Experience Requirements below may be substituted for a Bachelors degree. At least five (5) years of experience performing duties similar to at least two (2) duties found in the Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrators description. Shall have or be able to obtain a Secret or up to a Top Secret Security Clearance. On certain Task Orders Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) will be required for Special Access Programs (SAP).
