Job DescriptionPermanent Full TimeShift Information: 7-3:30pmMinimum Years of Experience: 2Performs phlebotomy in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and OSHA published protocols. Collects specimens and on a accurate and timely basis, labels, transports, centrifuges, and aliquots specimens. Prepares and packages specimens for transport to reference labs. Researches new send out requests by Physicians using available resources. Enters lab charges and CPT codes on all Lab Miscellaneous tests. Distributes specimens to testing section in accordance with collection priority, ie STAT over Routine.Qualifications:High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 2 YEARSPhlebotomy and computer skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, excellent customer service skills required, and ability to work in a high volume fast paced work environment.MUST BE A CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMIST OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT Experience in Hospital phlebotomy experience with geriatric and, oncology patients a plus. by Jobble
