Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Sector Contract Operations team is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Contract Administrator to join our growing team of diverse professionals. The selected candidate will help develop and lead contracts tools contributing to digital transformation at Northrop Grumman. This position is located in McLean, Virginia or remotely as a full-time teleworker.Essential Functions/Tasks: Leverage knowledge of Government contracting to become the NGDS subject matter expert (SME) for the Contract Management System (CMS): Represent NGDS in Enterprise meetings to portray the sector's needs and requirements for Digital Transformation and CMS Maintain and update the CMS handbook Create self-assessment / audit model to ensure data integrity of the CMS system Troubleshoot and resolve tickets and issues with CMS demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Lead the creation, building, and maintaining of tools and dashboards to support contract professionals' needs deploying an analytical approach to problem solving, risk assessment and strategy Work with various Government agencies including the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) to support requests for data and audits Negotiate requirements for software needs Develop reports and determine best methods to respond to data calls and inquiries Conduct briefings for internal customers at all levels Present technical approaches and findings to management Work closely with Sector staff in contracts and other disciplines to accomplish company goals Successful candidate will be able to: Interpret and apply contract acquisition rules and company policies to design and implement software/tool projects that advance the contract profession within Defense Systems Think strategically to troubleshoot issues and work with various teams to drive tasks to completion efficiently and accurately in a dynamic fast paced environment Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers (including members of the executive team) on a regular basis Work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts Demonstrate organizational and time management skills in dealing with competing priorities, deadlines, and in handling multiple tasks Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change directions when needed Demonstrate knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other acquisition regulations; this includes experience with research, interpretation, and compliance of those regulations Demonstrate knowledge of various contract types including Cost types, Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive, and Time & Material Demonstrate knowledge of SAP and / or Costpoint Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) This position may be filled as at the Principal or Sr. Principal level per the requirements below.Basic Qualifications for Principal Contracts Administrator: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Will also consider: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Must have or be able to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (US Citizenship as a pre-requisite) Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time) Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Will also consider: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of contract administration or regulatory experience Must have or be able to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (US Citizenship as a pre-requisite) Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time) Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience and knowledge with SAP setup process in NG Prior experience and knowledge of On Time Delivery and WAWF Significant knowledge in Excel Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies, and practices Salary Range: 76000 - 125400 Salary Range 2: 94200 - 155500 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
