Merritt Academy is in search of an energetic and dynamic 3rd Grade Teacher to be responsible for planning and implementing an instructional program and providing related educational services for students. The 3rd Grade Teacher will prepare weekly lesson plans in accordance with age appropriate guidelines established by the administration and maintain accurate and complete student evaluations. Other responsibilities include: Prepare and teach lessons and values curriculum. Maintain good communication and rapport with all students and their families. Request and attend parent conferences as needed. Attend and participate in professional development activities, such as conferences, seminars, etc. Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Experience working in education. Private school experience preferred. Enthusiastic, growth-mindset teacher with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Passion and desire to get things done, willingness to grow professionally through initiative and teamwork. Knowledge of, and experience with, Project-Based Learning. Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into a creative, student-led learning environment. Read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Pass pre-employment screenings.
