PRIMARY PURPOSE: It is the responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator to support the development and execution of special events, promotions, and other marketing related efforts on-property across all business verticals. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and manage marketing efforts and event planning; assist in developing and executing marketing plans for on-property marketing activation. Manage both online and traditional advertising, and collateral development to promote special programming throughout the property. Effectively communicate pertinent information as it relates to marketing campaigns to ensure accurate communication to guests and internal team members. Participate in promotions meetings, brainstorming on new promotions, taking meeting minutes and acting as liaison with other departments to distribute minutes, completed collateral, and other promotional materials Place purchase orders for administrative items and services required for day-of-event activation. Track process of marketing campaigns from conception to finish; set-up and maintain promotion files ensuring information is up-to-date and complete; maintain files of all project quotations and prepare departmental standard reports Regular performance data collection to drive marketing optimization. Manage digital footprint for MGM National Harbor brand across owned and third-party partner sites. Work closely with social media team to provide content calendar for deployment across social media platforms. Perform other job-related duties as assigned SUPERVISION: None. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) years experience in marketing, event planning, promotions, project management, or related experience Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field Previous experience working in a similar resort environment CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms Ability to work under pressure Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, ie telephone, copier, fax machine Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts WORKING CONDITIONS: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting Ability to work in an environment where pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoking is permitted
