Job Description: Overview: The Human Resources Manager serves and is viewed as a subject matter expert (SME) that will support and partner with others in the areas of associate relations, associate retention, associate events, as well as oversee HR communication efforts. How You'll Make A Difference: * Investigates all Human Resources assigned or directly reported complaints. Responsible for intake, researching the allegation, developing an investigation plan, conducting effective interviews and data collection, completing a written report and communicating an appropriate summary to relevant parties. Assists in making recommendations on the best course of action and facilitating training as needed. * Provide associates and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues * Manages HR communication efforts to include newsletter, posters, FUN TV, and Dominion Details. * Work with associates and management to determine, document and implement reasonable job accommodations for sincerely held beliefs and for an employee's verified claim of disability. * Act as an employee relations representative for concerns involving associate issues such as harassment and discrimination claims. Receive initial associate complaint reports, conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions. Accurately and thoroughly document investigations. Liaise with Park security and law enforcement in any criminal matters. * Serves as Human Resources Manager On-Duty as scheduled with responsibilities for conducting employment investigations, coaching managers and divisional leaders and reviewing requests for dismissal. * Analyzes HR investigations, employee relations and other data trends to address and mitigate risk and support and drive our culture of integrity * Oversees the operation of Park's uniform program. Ensures accurate inventory reports, places orders for new items, manages physical inventory, and works with outside vendors for uniform laundering and repair. * Oversees the unemployment claims process, including responding to claims and representing the company in unemployment hearings. * Oversees Associate housing program * Other duties may be assigned. We're Looking For: * Bachelors Degree in Human Resources management or related field. * 3 - 5 Years Related Experience in Human Resources, the theme park, hospitality, entertainment or travel industry, or a combination of both. * Demonstrated strong familiarity with federal, state and local labor laws, including EEO, medical and religious accommodations, FMLA, and minor labor laws * Advanced written and oral communication skills, as well as, superior spelling, punctuation, and grammar * Strong time and project management skills and experience * A high level of organizational and communication skills * Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Demonstrated ability to analyze employment data and present relevant information to key stakeholders * Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and supervise others * Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver against set goals * Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. * Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. * Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. * Driver's License
