Job Description Job Description: The Infant Assistant Teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children, working as an assistant teacher in partnership with a lead teacher; the ratio in the classroom is 1:4 . All caregivers design and implement lesson plans, and manage the students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play. Teachers are responsible for keeping their classroom organized and clean, and communicating with parents in person and in writing. All teachers work full time, year-round, with paid days off for illness and vacation. Hours : To Be Determined Qualifications : Education : We prefer that all candidates have one of the following: Be enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program Also all candidates are required to have all of the following: Experience working with infants (0-12 months) or toddlers (12-24months); school-setting experience is preferred. Comfort with technology to design lesson plans and communicate Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents.
