This position will be based in Germantown, MD and will interface with a wide variety of stakeholders across the company. This position will have the opportunity to learn all facets of the Human Resource Department while focusing on Learning & Development and project-based assignments. The individual should have the ability to multitask and work under tight timelines.Responsibilities:Partners with the organization to evaluate and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectivenessIdentify key areas for development within the organization while designing and implementing just in time training, performance, succession and career development programsCollaborate with HR colleagues, management and employees is a key part of the jobThis individual will be responsible for collaborating on and supporting the following:Work across the HR Department supporting the internal practices (Benefits, HRIS, Compensation, Recruiting, Employee Relations, etc.)Wide variety of project-based assignments across HR and the organization.Assessment of organizational/departmental/functional training needs.Contributes to research and analysis in relation to the alignment and success of company goals, which includes identifying skill gaps.Design, develop and deliver training programs and materials (on-line, instructor led).Assist in the design and development of career development and HiPo programsAssist in the evaluation and maintenance of L&D programs and materials.L&D administrative tasks such as class scheduling, course enrollment, etc.Assessment of vendors and vendor materials.Basic Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Learning and Development or related field.0-6 months in training and/or curriculum design.0-6 months experience project management including project planning, scope, execution, tracking.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in level scoping, planning, executing, and tracking of projects.Proficiency in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.Experience in tracking training results and tying them to organizational key resultsClient management/consultation skills, being the single point of contactWill be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.EchoStar is committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
