Finance CoordinatorThe Position:We are looking for passionate, driven candidates to help drive operations, human resources, and finance initiatives across the firm. You will play an important role on your teams from day one, owning portions of the security process, recruiting, facilities management, and finance and expense reporting. A typical day in the life of a Finance Coordinator is never quite the same, but it is always equally exciting and challenging. Some of your key responsibilities will include:Manage and organize incoming AP requests, track and record AP payments, communicate with vendors. Subcontractor management - reviewing invoices against budget, setting up PO's and gaining PM approvalsDevelop knowledge of and enforce Time & Expense policies, review timesheets for internal and external compliance and review/process employee Expense ReportsOrganize and process Accounts Receivable (AR) by creating invoices to be submitted to customers through multiple systemsCommunicate with customers on payment delays and other issues and troubleshoot in coordination with the finance teamSupport the Director of Finance with accruals and maintaining compliance.Work to Senior Financial Analyst to complete project and user setup in Unanet and support project execution by tracking and reportingAssist the finance team with other additional transactions and accounting functions to support day-to-day operations within the firmAssist with development and revision of standard operating procedures and company policies, and audit and maintain employee files and documentationReceive the public and answer questions, in person and by telephone; respond to inquiries from employees, visitors, and othersMaintain and update filing system for the finance department. For now, we're all working from home. But normally, we work at an office conveniently located in the heart of downtown DC, just a few blocks away from the White House.
