SES Construction and Fuel Services is looking for a Stormwater Compliance Inspector-Project Engineer/Scientist. This position is located on-site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia supporting SES Construction & Fuel Services LLC contract with the Fort Belvoir Environmental & Natural Resources Division. Candidates shall be knowledgeable in basic stormwater principles and possess between 0 - 3 years of experience dealing with Virginia water quality standards and permit required reporting and record keeping.Candidates may be assisting in project tasks, such as:Conducting compliance inspectionsField data collection and mappingDesign and/or inspections of stormwater facilitiesDevelopment of operational plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)Development of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Action PlansData analysis and conclusions presentationProviding training on stormwater basics and permit requirementsWriting and publishing stormwater education articles/newslettersReading and verifying construction as-builtsEvaluating stormwater structures for integrity and functionalityDrafting technical reportsProviding input on program logisticsCandidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and have proficiency in computer applications including Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Additionally, the candidates must be able to read and interpret lab sample data and report on findings.Candidates must possess a Bachelor's of Science in the Environmental Sciences or Engineering, and will be required to obtain and maintain one or more of the necessary Virginia certificates of competence in accordance with Virginia requirements (9 VAC 25-850-40) for the work they are performing.Candidates must be able to pass a Federal background investigation and obtain security clearance to work on-site at a military installation. Candidates must be able to perform field work under all weather conditions and in rugged settings (eg, steep terrain).SES Construction and Fuel Services LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
